JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

Position Title: Administrative Assistant
Temporary Position beginning immediately20 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
Department:    Administration
Supervisor:     Town Clerk
Salary:            $15.00/hour or commensurate with experience (No Benefits) 

Position Purpose: Provide a wide range of administrative support services in the Town Clerk’s Office while maintaining the utmost level of professionalism.  Responsibilities include answering phones,preparing correspondence and voluminous mailings, compiling and maintaining records, maintaining voter registration records and boards and committee database, posting notices, mail run.

Education:   High School diploma preferred or equivalent.

Skills:  Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel.  Superior written and oral communications skills with business writing experience.  Strong organizational skills.  Ability to effectively interact effectively and pleasantly with the public and with many levels of government.

Experience: Two years of administrative work preferred.
